AGENCIES OF THE DIVISION OF INDUSTRIAL AFFAIRS

  • Office of Labor Law Enforcement
    The Office of Labor Law Enforcement serves to ensure fair and equitable treatment in the workplace by enforcing or administering 22 state and federal labor laws, including wage payment, minimum wage, child labor, prevailing wages for state-funded construction projects, and discrimination laws.

  • Office of Workers' Compensation
    The Office of Workers' Compensation enforces state laws, rules and regulations regarding industrial accidents and illnesses.

  • Office of Occupational Safety and Health Consultation Statistics
    The consultation service provides free, comprehensive on-site consultations for small businesses to identify potential hazards, improve safety management systems and assist in voluntary compliance with federal OSHA regulations. All consultation services are voluntary and confidential.

    The statistics section collects data on work-related injuries, illnesses and fatalities, and the characteristics of the workers involved in these accidents.

  • Office of Discrimination In Employment
    The Office of Discrimination investigates, mediates, and conciliates employment discrimination complaints in partnership with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
